Titan was contacted by SD Buxton Chartered Surveyors on Behalf of Peel Holdings Group and Entwistle Group, Peels site located at Media City was in need of site hoarding directly outside the main entrance of the BBC and ITV television centres.
The purpose of the hoarding was not only to enclose a large un-used area and keep the public safe but also to use the hoarding for key advertising due to the high-profile location.
Two main factors were in the challenge put to Titan, (1) the hoarding could not be set into the ground due to the underground network of services located in the area, (2) the hoarding had to be solid, robust and have a very good life span and timber hoarding could not be used.
After lengthy on-site meetings our proposal to supply and install the On-Ground GoHoard system complete with vehicular and pedestrian access gates was accepted and an order was place.
The other challenge TITAN faced was the very tight completion schedule, this was due to the 2023 BBC Sports personality of the year to be filmed in December 2023 where high-profile celebrity’s and Royals would be in attendance therefore the 5 days window was set and successfully met on time prior to the filming taking place.
