Titan security fencing was contact by W SUTHERLAND Construction Limited, due to the Covid-19 Pandemic just coming to light this was a significant challenge for all involved with the project due to the strict social distancing measures being put into place, having worked quickly with our Health & Safety Manager we soon had our Covid-19 Policy, Risk and method statements in place, this allowed all our staff to safely carry out this project under new controlled measures to what have now become the norm.
3Mtr high 358 prison mesh to BS 1722 part 14 standards.
Having attended site to carry out a survey the task was to take down and remove from site approximately 450 linear Mtrs of 2.5Mtr high solid round bar steel railings from the full perimeter of the highly secure data centre’s site boundary and replace with new 3Mtr high 358 prison mesh to BS 1722 part 14 standards.
Due to the site being highly sensitive security was paramount, we had to take into consideration the logistics of carrying out this project whilst maintaining a high level of security at all times prevent any unauthorised access to the site.
Titan Security fencing provided a written quotation and a decision was made by W Sutherland Construction Ltd to place a purchase order with Titan based on a number of factors,
1, impressed with our site attendance from the outset.
2, Our site operatives and staff are all fully DBS / Police cleared and Covid-19 accessed
3, Health and safety’s paramount, all staff are CITB trained and we are CHAS accredited.
4, Having a proven track record for working in high secure areas
Having provided all the relevant Risk Assessments and Method statements work commenced, Titan Security Fencing Limited took down and removed from site sections of the 2.5Mtr high steel railings one section at a time and replaced the said section with new 3Mtr high galvanised and powder coated to RAL 7012 merlin grey 358 anti-climb mesh fencing on RHS post firmly set into rapid setting concrete footings maintaining security at all times.
Work was carried out and completed to our high standard within the allowed project site schedule.
Working with W Sutherland Construction on this project was highly successful and I’m please to say we will be working with them in the near future.
